Vermont General Election, CVCC Vote, and WCUUSD Vote – Tuesday, November 3, 2026

Calais will hold its General Election, the CVCC Special Election, and the WCUUSD Special Election on Tuesday, November 3, 2026 at the Calais Town Hall, 1662 Kent Hill Rd, from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.

aBSENTEE ballot – requesting

  • Vermont General Election ballots will automatically be mailed to all registered voters at the end of September. You do not need to request a ballot to vote early.
  • CVCC and WCUUSD Special Election ballots will be availably by request only. Please contact the Town Office to request mailed CVCC and/or WCUUSD ballots for yourself or other members of your household. They will be mailed as soon as they are printed, most likely at the end of September

EARLY VOTING

You may come to the Town Office any time during regular office hours once ballots are available to request and vote your CVCC and/or WCUUSD ballot or to return your General Election ballot.

absentee ballot – returning

  • You may return your ballot by mail using the envelope provided to you. Please make sure the signature envelope is signed and sealed!
  • You may return your ballot in its signed, sealed envelope at any time to the secure drop box in the vestibule of the Town Office.
  • You may return your ballot in its signed, sealed envelope to the Town Office staff during regular business hours, Monday through Thursday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. 
  • You may bring your ballot to the polling place, Calais Town Hall, on November 3, 2026, and vote at that time.

To register to vote, check your mailing address, find out the status of your ballot, or learn more about the candidates on your ballot, go to vote.vermont.gov or call 456-8720. You may also print out a paper copy of the Vermont Voter Registration Form and mail or bring it in to:
