Vermont General Election – Tuesday, November 3, 2026

Calais will hold its General Election on Tuesday, November 3, 2026 at the Calais Town Hall, 1662 Kent Hill Rd, from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.

aBSENTEE ballot – requesting

Vermont General Election ballots will automatically be mailed to all registered voters at the end of September. You do not need to request a ballot to vote early.

absentee ballot – returning

  • You may return your ballot by mail using the envelope provided to you. Please make sure the signature envelope is signed and sealed!
  • You may return your ballot in its signed, sealed envelope at any time to the secure drop box in the vestibule of the Town Office.
  • You may return your ballot in its signed, sealed envelope to the Town Office staff during regular business hours, Monday through Thursday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. 
  • You may bring your ballot to the polling place, Calais Town Hall, on November 3, 2026, and vote at that time.

To register to vote, check your mailing address, find out the status of your ballot, or learn more about the candidates on your ballot, go to vote.vermont.gov or call 456-8720. You may also print out a paper copy of the Vermont Voter Registration Form and mail or bring it in to:
