The Conservation Commission inventories the natural resources of our community and is responsible for purchasing and administering municipal lands for the purpose of conservation. The Calais Lakes and Streams Committee is also involved in conservation efforts.
Members of the Conservation Commission are appointed by the Select Board. Each term is for 4 years. The board normally meets on the fourth Tuesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. at the Town Hall. All meetings are open to the public.
