The Development Review Board is responsible for reviewing and permitting (approving or denying) development that is deemed conditional status according to the land use and development regulations of the Town.
Calais has a seven-member Development Review Board appointed by the Selectboard. Terms are three years. Hearings are held as needed and are open to the public. Hearings are held at the Calais Town Hall located at 1662 Kent Hill Road in East Calais.
The board deliberates in a quasi-judicial capacity, in closed session; however, a written decision that is a public document will always be issued.
